“Vision for a sustainable development” aims at exploring the concept of social entrepreneurship as an innovative way to solve social problems in youth work using entrepreneurial skills.

Description

Social entrepreneurship is an alternative way of civic engagement and participation, as it offers a chance to enter the public sphere and the labor market, at the same time it is an attempt to give an appropriate answer to the important issue of youth unemployment.
The researches show that there is a high percentage of unemployment of young people in EU & EECA countries. We believe that one of the possible answers to the present issue of employability is to promote social engagement through social entrepreneurship, giving the proper tools of self development and self-realization.
The project aims to develop in the participants strong capacity of problem solving and creative thinking in order to enhance their employability through their own self-development.

The TC intends to focus on the concept of the social entrepreneurship in general with specific attention on entrepreneurial skills, leadership and management, need and problem analysis and funding and financing. Those topics will be explored in the context of youth organizations and volunteering, will be discussed the present conditions in each participant country and the best practices.
The project is designed to motivate the participants and give them tools to become entrepreneurs working towards social good. As the hosting organization from Georgia – International Center for Peace and Integration (ICPI) is running a social enterprise – the first “Co-working Space” for young people in Georgia, the participants will have the practical example and case study during the project.
Learning to learn: the participants learning experience will be supported by tools and methodologies on how to learn and acquire hard and soft skills to perform better in their personal and professional environment.
The project intends to bring participants from promoter organizations who are planning to create social enterprises, it provides the opportunity for partners from different countries to meet, exchange experiences, ideas and plan future cooperation regarding developing social enterprises for more sustainable growth.
Once the seminar is finished the participants will bring newly gained knowledge and ideas back to their organizations. This action will help to improve the communication with the partners by making sure they are responsibly preparing to disseminate the project’s outcomes.
